Career Path

Intern

As an intern, you will gain wide exposure to consulting and strategy formulation. You will work alongside Numu consultants on active projects, supporting in research, data collection & analysis, interviewing key stakeholders and attending key meetings. This is an exciting opportunity to gain first-hand insight into a variety of business issues. Our internships typically run for 3-12 months.
For an intern role, we seek exceptional undergraduates in their final year of university from world-renowned educational institutions with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to think independently and creatively.

Analyst

As an analyst, you will work as part of the team on client projects and support in research and assignments. You will collect, analyze and synthesize data as required for projects. You will be interviewing client team members, key stakeholders and attending key meetings. You will also contribute to problem solving for the client and will support in drafting presentations and pitches.
For an analyst role, we seek candidates ranging from fresh graduates to candidates with up to 3 years of work experience.

Associate

As an associate, you will assume responsibility for key components of client engagements and work at a more independent level. You will be expected to analyze and synthesize data and propose recommendations for the client. You will also contribute to problem solving efforts on a deeper level. Associates will be expected to manage and mentor junior staff members, as well as maintaining day-to-day client relations.
For an associate role, we seek candidates with an undergraduate or advanced degree (Master's, MBA, PhD, etc.) and more than 3 years of work experience.

Engagement manager

As an engagement manager, you will have developed the experience to take ownership of entire client projects and manage their day-to-day execution. You will lead and guide project teams in daily activities, supporting them in the execution of various work streams. You will manage client relationships and proactively network, contributing to the growth and development of the company. You will also be expected to develop expert knowledge and convey this to others.
For an engagement manage role, we seek candidates with an advanced degree (Master's, MBA, PhD, etc.) and 5-7 years of professional experience, typically within consulting.

Senior consulting roles

Director

As a director, your focus will grow to include building strong client relationships, whilst also maintaining responsibility for guiding and mentoring teams through projects and furthering your expertise within targeted practice areas. You will consistently bring innovative thinking and strategic insight to the table, guiding clients to success. The director role offers a steep learning curve, enabling you to fine-tune your abilities in developing breakthrough and actionable insights, whilst also developing your leadership skills and personal expertise.
For a director role, we typically promote internally, however we also seek exceptional candidates with proven track records and outstanding leadership experience.

Partner

As a partner, you will influence the strategic focus and direction of Numu. Whilst still maintaining responsibility for developing breakthrough strategies and achieving client success, you will also contribute significantly to Numu’s growth and be responsible for business development by developing long-term client relationships. You will also be instrumental in building the Numu team, developing Numu talent at all levels as well as recruitment at all levels.
For a partner role, we typically promote from within the firm, however, we occasionally seek exceptional professionals with stellar individual profiles to join the Numu team.

Hiring Process

Hiring Process

The interview process will be an opportunity for us to learn more about you, understand your motivations for working in consulting and assess your fit.

The process will involve an initial interview to introduce Numu, understand your background and accomplishments and your interest in joining the Numu team.

This will be followed by a number of case interviews, each involving working with an interviewer to analyze a case study and develop solutions to the challenges it presents. This will help us understand your thinking process, how you solve problems and your ability to develop recommendations for clients.
